Doing Fine

So the vet thinks Lucy is in remarkably good health, all things considered.  Normal temperature, normal heart and lung action, normal everything.  She lost 8 pounds (was 55 lbs. before going on walkabout, now 47 lbs.), and we won't receive word about internal parasites until tomorrow.  But otherwise, Lucy is well.

  2. !!! what an amazing story. My dogs are huskies, and as you may know, as a breed they're prone to bolting at the drop of a hat; it's really crazy-making. I *cannot even imagine* how insane I'd be if one of mine were gone for a month.

Last time my girl dog got out, I called all my local husky people for help. When I got her back shortly thereafter I had to, er, call off the dogs, so to speak. One of my friends then sent me back a relieved email that concluded with two words, all caps: "BRAT GIRL."

All this is just to say, give *your* brat girl a big hug for me, and good on you both for being so diligent in your search. Hope she's figured out how good she's got it to have people like you!

  3. I'm SO glad to hear she's home safely! I just heard about your story, and have seen some of your fliers in the area. It's so great to hear that this story has a happy ending :)

  5. So happy to hear she's well! My gf and I have been following ninja dog's travels and were starting to get worried due to the weather. So glad she's back!

  9. We are all excited about this, and so relieved for you and Lucy! (and my son is intrigued that she WAS over by Mass Ave). I'll be very glad every time I take down any fliers I see.

  10. Lucy girl, so glad you decided to grace Sarah & Dan with your presence! If you're half as happy as the rest of us to be home as the rest of us are that you are home . . .

Do tell, was the water in your bowl warm from the individual warmers that Sarah so brilliantly thought to affix to the underside of the bowl?

And are you up for some more walking around to do a little unfliering,Lucy? Remind Dan & Sarah that they have a few more volunteer sessions to invite folks to -- those for the purpose of unfliering the many areas showing on the map. Hopefully I can make some time on the weekend to unflier at least the area I fliered if not a few more areas. I wish it was feasible to replace it with a flier that says "Lost Lucy Was Found!!!"
